Background

Australian Bookkeepers Network (ABN) has served the bookkeeping industry since 2001 and in that time has grown to become Australia's largest private representative body for self-employed and contract bookkeepers with over 1200 members spread across all states and territories.

In broad terms, ABN helps bookkeepers to build bigger and better businesses by providing them with a vast range of resources, tools and support aimed at improving knowledge, streamlining business, increasing profit and expanding horizons. One of ABN's greatest strengths is its passion for connecting with, and listening to, its member base. It does this through events such as conferences, bookkeeper intensives and coffee clubs and through electronic mediums such as its discussion forum. Of the many things that ABN heard from its members, one theme emerged time and time again: the desire on the part of bookkeepers for their clients to have better accounting and tax support than what they currently had.

Bookkeepers are often asked by their clients questions such as "Know any good accountants?" or "I'm not happy with my current accountant. What should I do?".

Clients trust their bookkeepers and often want to be steered in the right direction by them. Unfortunately, many bookkeepers do not know of accountants that they can recommend, or simply do not feel comfortable in doing so.

With a thriving member base of over 1200 bookkeepers, it became obvious to ABN that there was a real gap that needed filling. ABN wanted to be able to provide its members and their clients with a better way. ABN Tax was born!

ABN Tax is a fully staffed firm that provides accounting and taxation services exclusively to Australian Bookkeepers Network (ABN) members and their clients. We work collaboratively with bookkeepers to provide clients with competitive prices, greater efficiencies, the highest quality of advice, and excellent levels of service.

ABN Tax is located in the inner Brisbane suburb of Woolloongabba, and is backed by a team of highly qualified accountants and tax agents with vast industry experience. We place a high emphasis on knowledge and training and remain at the cutting edge of all things accounting and tax.
